Our Review of the Phil & Ted's Traveller Crib

Going to Grandma's? Pack the Phil and Teds Traveller Crib, which weighs less than baby (2.5 lbs). Folding into a compact bundle that slings over your shoulder, you'll always have a place for your little angel to rest when away from home.

Comfort & Convenience Features

The Traveller Crib from Phil and Teds works anywhere: the den, the bedroom, hotel rooms - wherever baby rests their head. Carry the Traveler Crib with ease thanks to a light weight and compact fold.

Moms around here love that they can access the crib from above, or from the side, allowing you to pick up baby as comfortably as possible. Assemble the traveler crib in under a minute - simply click the aluminum frame tubes together and insert the self-inflating mattress.

Children up to 3 years old sleep cozily thanks to the soft self-inflating mattress. To protect your little one, the mattress inserts into a separate compartment, which keeps babies from becoming tangled. The cushion also provides added insulation.

Dimensions

Erected: 51" x 24.8" x 31"
Packed: 24.8" x 8.6" x 8.6"

Comparison: The Kid Co Peapod Plus Indoor/Outdoor Travel Bed offers baby a place to sleep and play anywhere. The Pea Pod's mattress inflates with a hand pump, sacrificing the self-inflating capabilities of the Phil and Teds Traveller; however, the 50% UVA/UVB sun protection offered by the Peapod's mesh allows baby to rest indoors or out.

Great...although...

We own both the Peapod and the Phil&Ted's Traveller Crib. My daughter likes to play in the Peapod but will not go to sleep in it. Maybe when she is a bit older that'll change -she is 23months. I wish the traveller crib had been available sooner The first night my daughter slept in it she complained a little but went to sleep after 5 minutes. I was perplexed by the fact that the instructions tell you that you should place the mattress in between the 2 plastic sheets. I guess because of safety reasons?. But that did not work for us at all. Every time my daughter would move the plastic would make this awful noise and wake her up. Not good. Next day we took the mattress out of in between the plastic sheets and placed the mattress in a regular crib fitted sheet then she slept all through the night. No complaints. Happy toddler! It's a good product that shall last us at least another year. It's not the most intuitive assembly so try it out once before your trip. After that you'll be ready to go and able to assemble it in about 5 minutes.

I love this! It looked like it was gonna be hard to assemble at first, but it ended up being easy. My son is comfortable and it is easy to pack up as well. Awesome product!
